This error is frequently followed by the message Cannot connect to RPC service. If that’s the case, removing the Realtek drivers sounds like a good idea.
Realtek audio console not loading

Update Realtek audio driver
Method 1 : Through Device Manager
You can update your Realtek sound card’s driver through Device Manager. To do this:
Step 1: Press Windows Key + X
Step 2: Select Device Manager
Step 3: Expand Sound, video, and game controllers
Step 4: Right-click on Realtek High Definition Audio
Step 5: Select Update Driver Software
Step 6: Select Search automatically for updated driver software
If there are any drivers that windows find it should install them automatically, however it might say that the best drivers are up to date, if you want you can click on search for updated drivers.
Before installation makes sure you are installing the correct version. To check the correct version of Realtek HD audio software, perform the following step.
Step 1: Click Start.
Step 2: Right-click Computer, and then click Properties.
Step 3: At the left pane, click Device Manager.
Step 4: Double-click the Sound, video, and game controllers category.

Method 2 : Manually
To manually update your Realtek audio driver you need to follow these steps:

Enable Realtek Audio Manager at Startup
Right-click on the Start button and launch the Task Manager.
Go to the Startup section.
Look for the Realtek HD Audio Manager.

Restart the system
Disable the Microsoft UAA Bus Driver for HD Audio
Expand the System Devices section in the Device Manager.
Look for Microsoft UAA Bus Driver for High Definition Audio.
Right-click it and select Disable from the drop-down menu.
Navigate to Apps & Features in Windows Settings.
Uninstall the driver by clicking on Realtek High Definition Audio Driver.
Now go to Device Manager and right-click on the deactivated Microsoft driver.
From the drop-down option, select Uninstall.
After that, reinstall the Realtek HD Audio Driver.
Use the Troubleshooter
If Realtek HD Audio Manager does not open, you may be able to resolve the issue by utilizing the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter. Follow the procedures outlined below to do this.
Step 1: Launch the Settings app.
You can do this by right-clicking the Start button and selecting Settings.
Step 2: Navigate to the section “Update & Security”.
Step 3: Choose Troubleshoot from the left-hand menu.
Step 4: Select Hardware & Devices and then click the Run Troubleshooter button.
Step 5: To finish the troubleshooter, follow the steps on the screen.

Update the Sound driver
Go to Device Manager by pressing the Windows + R keys, type “devmgmt.msc” into the Run box, and click OK.
Expand sound, visual, and gaming controllers.
Right-click Realtek High Definition Audio and select Update driver from the option that appears.
Select “Search Automatically for updated driver software’’
Windows will automatically install the latest driver on your computer.
Assuming you have the most recent driver installation file on your computer, you can also choose “Browse my computer for driver software”.
Choose again Allow me to select a driver from a list of available drivers on my machine.
Search for and choose the most recent driver by date, then click Next to update.

Add Legacy hardware
Go to Device Manager by pressing the Windows + R keys, type “devmgmt.msc” into the Run box, and click OK.
Select the Action tab.
From the drop-down box, search for and choose Add legacy hardware.
Select the radio option for Search for and install hardware automatically by clicking the Next button (Recommended).
